Pro-Parris/Salem Village
Median Ratios: 1681-1700
By 1700, the pro-Parris faction's economic position also improved relative to Salem Village; by that year, those associated with the witch hunt were once again better off than the Salem Villagers as a whole. To be sure, they were not, relatively speaking, as privileged as they had been in 1690 or, even, 1681, but their improvement following the steep decline in 1695, situated them in an advantageous position. Using mean tax ratios shows an even more striking advance of pro-Parris members after 1695.
